What grease for shift "ball" and bushings?

Well I changed my gear oil from maxgear to MTL-P in my 04 sentra. While going into gear is much nicer, getting to the gears still is a challenge. I feel that I'm going to snap the shift rod in half sometimes....

I think I need to disassemble the shift mechanism and lube up everything. All I have is white lithium grease. What should I use, or is the lithium ok?

Visit the dealer. Get the required lube per the FSM.

Is this a 1.8 or 2.5?

2.5 has a shift cable

Bacon grease is better than dry.
Many dealers use moly CV joint grease for general use like this.
I use synthetic wheel bearing grease for my general needs.
