I am in the same boat you are. I run Mobil 1 5w30 and choose Purolator Pure One filters because they were reported to filter slightly better than M1 filters and cost less.quote:

After seeing ekpolk's UOA with particle count it is hard for me to believe the Pure One (or any filter) will do much better than the M1. Someone posted a comparitive UOA (Mobil 1 and Pure One) and Mobil 1 was a little better.
After my stock of Pure Ones is gone I will go with Mobil 1 unless I see some data to indicate there is a comparable filter in the market.
