Bought me a newish Chevy truck. It's going to be used as a daily driver which will includetowing and hauling often. I'm going to use Quaker state fully syn and want to use a good filter that won't cost me an ARM and leg to buy like the amsoil, royal purple and k&n which I like. I was thinking purolator one or fram extended guard both get good reviews and sell for under 10dollers. Any opinions on the two or advice on any others would help. Oh BTW I want to do 6k oci.

There is a forum member from "UTAH" likes to use supertech e-cores on his chevy truck 4.8 and a steady diet of conventional PCMO's with a 5K OCI and he has not had a single oil related problem. I am sure he will give you his two cents.

Does anyone EVER have an oil related problem?
It is so rare these days , I do not see the amount of time we invest stressing over it being worth it.

Any decent filter like a delco which is a purolater . Its really about how you care for things mechanically , like keeping the engine clean , driving like a sane person, and changing oil once in a while.

Many of the "idiots",ahem, " experts" on this site have not a clue.

ACDelcos are not Purolators. Welcome to the "expert" club.

I'd probably use the P1, although a Puro classic would be fine as well.
Since you're only looking at 6K drains, you don't need a high end filter.
