I used to have a 1997 Ford F250 (might buy it back) but now I forgot what engine it had (no badge on top of engine like on other cars). I don't know the VIN but I know what the engine looked like. It had two intake pipes going from the air filter to throttle body. Distributor was on the top front slightly tilted to the right. Dual tailpipe exhaust exit. Gasoline engine. Oh and does anyobdy know if they included OBDII in these models? It didn't have a tach so I might use a scanguage for RPM monitoring.

A 5.8 should have "5.8" embossed in the intake manifold.
It didn't have 5.8 on the intake mainfold so I guess it has the 7.5L.

One easy way to tell - if you're driving it, and the gas guage goes down noticeably while you're driving, it is the 7.5. :D

Yeah, I notice the guage moving whenever I'm driving, but you gotta love dual gas tanks.
