-Read REAL PAPER BOOKS (Books on the internet? That's stupid)

-BBQ on a cheap Charbroil grill!! With Kingsford charcoal (NO GAS OR ELECTRICITY!!!!)

-CHESS on a real board!

-Trimming bushes with Hedge shears!!

Why did I ask this question? Because today, I went fishing on a Row boat!!!! Old-fashion worm and bobber!!

I agree, plus I must add income taxes on paper forms. I tried the online version once, and they wanted me to type in all the info on the W2s....not gonna happen! Paper is simpler in my opinion.

And reading a newspaper!

Yes. And even though the content is suffering these days, I still like to read a real newsPAPER at the breakfast table.

Yep- in my case its an old grill made from an iron kettle sometime in the 40s.

Board games in general, not computer games (with the exception of MarioKart ;-) )

Eww. Not me. And while I do like occasionally cutting wood with a good, sharp carpenter's saw, or cutting a limb with a good sharp cross-cut saw, I prefer circular saws, chainsaws and hedge trimmers when there's a large amount to be done.

Biking on a trail instead of a stationary bike. Tuning a carburetor, degreeing a cam, setting timing, porting heads, etc. instead of plugging in a Diablo Tuner and loading a new fuel/air/timing profile (although the latter is also fantastic).

I miss shifting gears..

This was a Palm-Pilot when my dad was in college:

It never crashed and had double the memory if you flipped his hands over. Worked flawlessly and never needed a recharge.

Just had to remember not to wash. :)

I got rid of my plug-in alarm clock/radio, for two reasons:

1) I'd never used the radio; lousy reception

2) It had cockroaches in it. No kidding. Small ones who'd wormed in and couldn't find their way out.

So I dumped it and went to a Big Ben windup alarm clock. While I have to remember to wind it and the alarm each night, and it ticks kind of loudly, it works fine and wakes me up when I want it to.

I also cook in and on my electric stove, because I have no room for a microwave.

Washing my own car.

Watering and fertilizing my yard by hand.

Trimming hedges by hand.

Exercising at home (no 'health' clubs) using simple calisthenics and free weights.

Reading actual books.

Drink a real cup of coffee and no 'latte' stuff.

Wear 'Old Spice' cologne and NEVER buy expensive girly stuff.

Cut, split, and burn firewood.

And lastly....try and live using the old-fashioned guidelines of what it is to be a 'gentleman'.

This only distantly applies, but I sure like flying the old iron in flight simulators. Same with driving simulators - the quirky and slow old cars are cool.

Texting? Sure. It's valuable.
But when I have something really important to say, I don't e-mail or text.
Letters get read.
