What do you add to your lawn to keep it looking good?

In southern Missouri I have brick quality clay. I use high nitrogen fertilizer scratch with rake, then seed in fall with pasture fescue. About 10% survives. Mow 4 inches spot treat weeds. In 10 years made some top soil. Take care of the worms, they are your friends.

There are many options to keep it healthy and looking nice. Here are mine for this year so far:

Granular fertilizer/crab grass preventer
Granular iron supplement
Pelletized lime

I may reseed a shady area I have that seems to be a constant thin spot.

I will often add a granular grub and insect treatment as I have kind of sandy soil and the ants go crazy.

How about you?
Malorganite

I add nothing.
I don't want anything growing in my yard that can't survive the natural climate.
