There's always one detailing task that any person detailing/cleaning absolutely detests.

Mine is cleaning upholstery. It seems it soaks up my time and cleaning supplies like no other task, and it never seems to clean up, despite throwing various things at it.

What's yours?

For me it's drying the car after washing it. I don't like using Chamoises and the little drying rubber beam I have seems to work okay, but it's a lot of work especially in tight spots or on doors. I wish I had one of those air compressors that blow the water off the car.

use a leaf blower,it drys it pretty fast.

I forgot about the wheels, that's true about it being a nuisance. That would have to be tied with drying the car for me.

The inside glass is a pain too, I try to be very careful about not getting it dirty, so I don't have to do that too often.

daman - unfortunately I don't have a leaf blower, and I don't think a rake would do much good.

I personally don't like washing the roof, and cleaning the inner windshield, oh and cleaning/conditioning the leather seats, thats probably the worst.

Keeping water spots from forming when it is extremely hot and dry

Wash one panel, rinse off whole car. Wash another panel, rinse off whole car

I wax my alloy wheels. The dirt washes off easier and the wax protects the clear coat a little. You can wash and wax the car in sections if time doesn't permit you to do the whole car at once.

Can't really say that their is any one detailing task that I detest the most. Once I get started, their is no stopping me.
Find that cleaning up the vehicle is relaxing. When done, I step back and pat myself on the back.

So don't even bother to ask to borrow the car, lol.

I have two.
Drying the vehicle after a wash.
I use a leaf blower and some 100% cotton towels.
Also doing the windows.

I usually don't mind detailing the paintwork, doorframes, interior, and even the engine compartment--but I sure do strongly dislike cleaning, waxing or detailing my aluminium wheels! My knees are shot so squatting down for anything like doing one, let alone four wheels is a killer for me! I've tried brushes with long handles but that can be hit or miss on cleaning the wheel spokes.

Cleaning the inside of the windshield. The awkward position you have to deal with is ridiculous! They should make windshields hinged so you can open them outward to make them easier to clean.
