What coolant was stock in 2004 mercury grand marquis and what would everyone use? I was leaning toward either the motorcraft GO5 or Zerex what does everyone think?
Coolant is original car has under 30,000 miles (Moms car)

If it is yellow then Ford Gold. It's just a G-05 clone. (color does not matter) It is good for 5yrs or 100k. Whatever cheapest G-05 you find will work perfectly.

Yup.

I saw mercury gm and thought you where talking about a GM based mercury engine for boats. So I was a little confused at first why you wore looking for coolant. :P

would this apply to a 2001 crown vic? I looked in the overflow and it looks somewhat greenish. AFAIK its the factory fill.

FWIW, both our Expeditions had Ford yellow in them (G-05) when new. That would be our 2002, and mom and dad's 2000.

I don't remember what our '98 had unfortunately.
