What is your favorite cloth for waxing your ride? I tried some new mico fibre cloths and they were ok but seemed to load up a bit fast.

I use white cotton "shop" towels (washed without fabric softener) to remove wax, then use a microfiber cloth to buff to a shine.

And... there's different qualities of microfiber cloths. Just like everything, there's cheap... and then there's good.

Quality microfibre towels. Always get an extra rinse cycle to get all detergent out, and no fabric softener.

When in doubt, do the CD test. Rub the microfibre on the back of a CD. If it scratches the CD, it will scratch your paint.

good info. thats what i do. the extra rinse cycle is a must.

White 100% cotten t shirts that I've stained and no longer wear. Never ever use those with sayings or pictures "printed" t's.

Ive used microfiber extensively for the last few years. Not the junk off the shelf at walmart or target that has all kinds of sharp fibers holding it together... Ive used stuff from the guy in Hawaii, but the best are the micro-cotton ones with no borders sold from Zaino. I found the actual manufacturer/distributer once but I forget who it was.

Exclusively quality microfiber towels. Keep in mind they must be washed prior to use and there are specific washing instructions.

That is the worst thing you can use. All it does is push any dirt across your paint and leave swirls. That is old school. Get some Micro fiber (good ones) and you will never regret it. Plus one good microfiber rag can almost do your whole car whereas you have to use more old T-shirts.

My only real complaint with microfiber is that my hands are rough and I have some eczema, so microfibers in the towels really irritate them. Typically, I'll either put on a clean glove or will put a terry cloth on top where my hand goes to avoid it.

I've used diaper clothes for many years and my paint looks like the day it was new. Mircofiber clothes are nice, but i'm going to stick with what has never failed me.

How am I gonna push dirt across my paint when the car is freshly washed and waxed and hasn't been left to set? May be old school, but I'm old school. Never noticed swirles on my cars, mayhap my old eyes can't see them. Whatever, I might try microfiber towels someday, but then I may stick to old 100% cotten, clean T shirts.

You would be surprised how much easier it is to wipe off wax with microfiber over t-shirts. My dad is old school and his use of t-shirts shows in his paint. T-shirts cannot compare to microfiber...and I was once like you until I saw the light.
