Depends on mood. Sometimes a nicer Fram, sometimes a PuralatorOne, sometimes a Mobil 1, and sometimes an Amsoil. I really don't care as much as I should.

Used a Microgard Select for a 1500 mile feel good oil change on the new Mazda3. Since both the CX30 and 3 use the same filter I'll be using Mazda OEM filters for 5000 mile OCI's in the future.

SuperTech for the win, usually. Just ordered 2 Eco's from the Jungle on special.

Three vehicles, and I'm a cheapskate. Can't help it. Don't wanna help it. Would get counseling but it's too expensive.

I have it down to two, both from Canadian Tire. The Fram Ultra, ( don’t care much about the design changes dropping the screen) and the Canadian Tire OE Plus which is basically a Champ XL painted in a black textured paint. Both of these have the low psi bypass for the Gen IV Chevy engines. :D

The Coyote got a MicroGard Select yesterday. Also have a couple of CarQuest Premiums on deck for the next oil changes. No more glue shedding, choked down louvers Motorcrafts for this engine. A Motorcraft FL500S came off, so I need to cut it open to see if it was a glue shedder or not. Maybe not since it was built about 3 years ago.

I usually buy Champ filters these days because both the XL and the standard filter are really cheap at rock auto. I add them when I'm buying other parts. No issues ever, as far as I know (I don't cut open the filters, obsession has not reached that level..yet)

I usually do spring for Motorcraft FL500S for my Mustang and Mann W811/80 lately for the Hyundai Elantra GT. I was buying Hyundai OEM but I noticed that the Mann filter is very similar and cheaper - it's a spare car these days. I've used Champ XL in those applications though, with no issues or concerns.

Recently got a Purolator Boss and a couple Fram "Force" filters (seem to be tough guards) from our local Carquest, on a deep sale. I'm much more particular about OEM or OEM supplier air filters than I am about oil filters.

So TLDR Champ, but not exclusively.

HYUNDAI / KIA 26300-35505 for both' 25 SOULs' since new . Around $6 each with a crush washer before tax at local KIA parts department . Have bought 5 so far and plan to get some next week if at same price or a bit more .

Mobil 1. Upped their quality lately.
I saw that....was a long term user of the original Champion Labs made
M110, then came the Mann-Hummel debacle, called Mobil 1, they confirmed the M110a was a Purolator, the recent Korean version is indeed better, but for how long? I was a real fan of the Filtech made Honda A01, used it confidently for years, then the Honda 15400-PLM-A02 was the only factory option. The Fram in a Blue Can, tired of playing Wack-A-Mole, I used it, Honda warranties their engines with it. Asked my Honda Certified Master Technician what he used.....he uses Amsoil, both oil and filters, good enough for me, ordered a gallon of Amsoil Signature 5W-30 and the appropriate filter (BTY, us made, synthetic wire-backed media, rated 99%@20 microns, silicone anti-drainback) cost about $2 more than the dealer charges for the 15400-PLM-A02, Signature 5W-30 a bit more than the Mobil 1 Extended Performance 5w30 I've been using.
Overall a reasonable solution without anxiety. Pablo, here on BITOG was helpful in answering questions and addressing concerns. Next service in about 3 weeks.

There's a leaf spring "wrinkle" (literally) with the Champ Labs made Endurance, Amsoil and Royal Purple oil filters ... all of those are the same filter inside cans with different brands on the outside.

More Whack-A-Mole action:
