I'm not really looking for a product suggestion. I am interested in what brands you guys like these days for Synthetic Diff and Trans fluids. I guess you could think of this as an informal poll of sorts.

My first choice is RLI.

If they don't have something, or if I'm recommending an oil for someone who needs oil with a track record in racing, then I look to Motul.

If Motul doesn't have it, I look to Amsoil or the OEM fluid, depending on the case.

I use valvoline dino oil in my diffs with the friction modifier (required by Ford).
I usually use valvoline ATF for automatics, but I'm now leading more towards whatever's somewhat cheaper or whatever I've found here or there. I have a case of Shell dexron 3 from a neighbor who didn't need "old oil". Well.. there's nothing wrong with it in my Taurus! My manual trans Ranger get Valvoline dino.
next change I'll probably up the ante to the semi synthetic stuff.

I have several, but my favorite is made by Lubrication Engineers and some are not synthetics.

If we are just talking about full synthetics, then it would have to be a coin flip between Amsoil and Red Line.

Shaeffers 204SAT (Dex/Merc type) performed well for 45K miles in my 4T60E.

Amsoil ATL (Dex VI type) is performing GREAT. If it lasts 60K miles, it will be my favorite.

ATF: Pentosin ATF 1 approved for extended oil drain intervals in European Buses

Diff: Royal Purple max gear or lubro moly 75w 90

ATF: Red Line D4, Motorcraft Mercon V (when on a budget)

Diff: Red Line GL-5+ fluids in any weight (I've used 75W-90 and 75W-140), Red Line Heavy Shockproof, Scheaffer's 167 Moly Full Synthetic Gear Lube, Amsoil Severe Gear

I have had great results with AMSOIL ATF, it made a night and day difference in the performance of our Navigator transmission. I have also used Schaeffer's 204 ATF in a few hot rods with great results. My favorite gear lubes aren't synthetic; I run 890 Vari-purpose and Moly Universal gear lubes from Texas Refinery Corp.

Valvoline Dex VI for slushboxes that call for Dex III, RP ATF for manual trans that calls for ATF and any GF-4 gear oil for older manual trans that call for gear oil.

For diffs it's M1 75W90.

I am suprised that there is only one M1 pick so far. I figured there would be a lot more M1 fans out there.

IMO, regarding M1 trans and gear oils, there are more robust products available for roughly the same price. They are good products, and if they were priced comparably to Valvoline SynPower I think you would see a lot more M1 trans and gear lube fans. As it stands now, you can get your hands on Red Line 75W-140 and Amsoil Severe Gear 75W-140 for less than M1 75W-140.
