Yeah i love the gas mileage in my Yaris! I usually get between 35-37 in mostly city driving. Nearby shell gas station is at $3.67 right now.

SHELL gas at $3.67 ! Must be nice ! We don't have SHELL or that price around here . Rub it in .

I paid $3.33/gal at the local Chevron station yesterday, in Pelham, Al, just outside of Birmingham.

4.09.9 for premium, 3.89.9 reg, but have yet to go feel the pain of it. About the cheapest around too, for brand gas. It may be higher today.. Central coast CA

Ohhhh . That hurts .

The price has now gone up to $3.48 for regular. The 93-octane V-Power is $3.68, while Diesel is priced at $3.75.

Isn't it just the pits? Sitting on all that oil, and getting corkscrewed with the prices for gasoline...

And to think that there are guys who wonder why I'm interested in spec'ing 400 gallon tanks on my trucks...

A couple of reasons for it: all gas comes from two refineries in the state (Tesoro and Chevron). They raise prices on consumer-grade gasoline to keep prices on plane-grade gas lower. (Anchorage is the largest US air-cargo hub for Asian goods. Your Dell/HP custom built laptop went thru Alaska to get to you in the Lower 48).

Plus we are not allowed to develop our natural resources. Feds own 90% of our land. NPR-Alaska is locked up, ANWR is locked up. Even directional drilling from outside the refuge is not allowed. Alyeska pipeline is half full. We are shooting ourselves in the foot.
