I been having this problem with my 96 Accord. Since its been cold out sometimes it does not want to start on the first try. So I put the clutch back in and try again, boom it will start. But this morning, it didnt, after the third time. So I turned on the lights to see if the battery was dead and they came on, then I tried to start the car again, and it started, first time, fired right up. I replaced the battery about a year ago. Ideas?

By not starting, do you mean no sound/power through the engine or starter, or do you mean engine turning over but not starting? If it's the first option, it could be your clutch sensor not telling the engine it's engaged. If it's the other, it could your ignition switch or starter solenoid.

It could be the main relay..if this Accord has one..it's a known problem with Hondas. Google honda "main relay" and you'll find out more than you'd ever want to know.

Yeah I did do a search for the main rely, and the clutch sensor sounds more like the problem. There is absoulty no noise other than this sound that something is spinning, but very faint.
