I would certainly try to lean out the carb as much as possible, since you're running a cool
thermostat.
You also might want to open up the carb and make sure the float level is where it should be, since a high float level would make it run rich.
And then change oil and filters at maybe 500 miles until the rich mixture situation is
brought under control.
