Weatherstripping non-OEM?

The ‘06 explorer is a little windy. Weatherstripping has retracted/shrunk in spots along the door wells.

The OEM options online are pricy. Wondering if anyone has experience buying the generic stuff off amazon etc and it fitting well in replacing the original stuff?

Funny you say this. I noticed this '08 Mountaineer had some wind noise.

That said, I'm little help. I've done aftermarket on OBS Fords only. One was probably back when JCW was truly just JCW. The other likely came from LMC if I remember correctly. They were fine. Just put the joint at the kick plate/threshold (obviously)

Don't pull the corners tight and put the joints on a straight flat section and it worked for me on trunk lids.

As bad as oem might be- aftermarket is worse.

Now I know why they never stay siliconed into place on my old truck.
