I see your from Ontario is 26C or 79F hot to you ? Here it's 29C or 84F with 44% Humidity and it's real comfortable to me .London was >37C in the summer of 1990, so I assume 1989 may have been similar. That's actually hot, 26C isn't.

So much this. It snows in Colorado in the winter. Every winter. And yet the media can't help but report as if it's unprecedented each time it happens.News flash
It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter.
Fortunetely the humidity was only 79% . Really ?It was exactly 78.8F here at midnight last night.
Fortunately the humidity was only 79% at that point so we made it through.
Outliers, spikes vs averages, and trends. Here's another common weather claim - "Today's daytime high broke a 112 year record".
Seems like it got hot back in the old days too.

78°F and 79% humidity? I'd be sweating like a hooker in church.Fortunetely the humidity was only 79% . Really ?
No, I consider it nice comfortable weather. 34C (93.2F) which we are supposed to get on Tuesday/Wednesday will be what I consider rather hot (but not unusual).I see your from Ontario is 26C or 79F hot to you ? Here it's 29C or 84F with 44% Humidity and it's real comfortable to me .

It's not that simple. We all know that large cities have warmer temps because of building and population density. Given that, is it fair to compare temps of a modern big city when that 112 year old record was set when the city was comprised of a bunch of single story wooden shacks?Outliers, spikes vs averages, and trends.
As an almost lifetime long resident of Los Gatos, Los Gatos has some of the finest weather on the planet. Additionally, Los Gatos itself is beautiful, all of it. Vasona Park during Christmas is spectacular.76* here are 11:30 AM. Gonna be low 80's later. No sharks to jump here; just a beautiful day.
Ever since cable news took over and now with the Internet, sensationalism sells. People eat it up.

The trends we see today are rife with inconsistencies, especially when we're talking a degree or two.

I flat out love it here. We also have a place in Petaluma, which is a little piece of Heaven. Slower pace. Back in my day when I was venturing out on my bicycles as a 10 to 13 year old, Wedgewood and the entire area was grassland with shanty town chicken farms where Monte Sereno is now.I flat out love it here. You know where I live, on Wedgewood by the golf course.
We are a great car town.
After hitting Costco, drove through downtown on the way home. Saw 2 '63 Corvette convertibles, one was a well done restomod, not overstated. The other looked factory. And the star of the day, a perfect white '67 Goat convertible. OMG.
