She weighs 20 pounds and stands 16" so she's not a TOY anything by AKC standards (both TOY MDP and MT are like 12 pounds MAX and 13" max or so)

She acts a LOT like a terrier and is not as dainty as we first thought.

Her and Juno run about the same speed in fact Juno has to dial it up to keep up.

Mission accomplished: They completely exhaust each other. They both obey nicely and are very trainable. They bonded TIGHT, within 24 hours. Juno shows Piper the ropes, leads her during new stuff. Then become equals mostly. Juno just larger at 50 pounds.

Piper is a cutie. Sounds like she's gonna be a great companion to Juno. Is she a rescue?

We did a DNA test on our dog. Was told he was half husky half GSD. The husky part was right but he was more st Bernard than GSD.

Yes DNA test kit I will order today. We did Juno last year, huge entertaining mix. Husky and GSD and USA Pittie and Aus Shep, Border collie, etc

Same rescue place we got Juno, they know us. The ladies there are great! It's interesting most of the dogs come from agri areas in central California. We brought Juno, she really like Piper from the get go.

Missed them, sorry. Dog lover here, I'll save you money on the DNA test. Terrier mix, AKA a Mutt which is what we called a mix back in the day. ;) Nice looking dog!!!!
I know but worth payin' the UOA DNA (for) Piper!

I agree on the mix!

Juno passed out on my rug in my office. Piper out on the couch with the cats. Hilarious.

By all means get the DNA test, I'm just having some fun. Enjoy them!!!!

You ALWAYS need (at least) two dogs so they can, as you've found out, wear each other out. Plus they bond and enjoy companionship since they are pack animals. Bonus if they are rescues as they are grateful and KNOW they have a second chance. That makes them super loyal.

Dog scanner app on my phone gives predominant breed as the Manchester, according to your pics. Good guess.

Edit: also shows German Pinscher in the mix.

Good looking pup. I had a Feist (that's what the pound labeled them anyway) that was a very similar looking dog. Same coloring and head shape, but was a bit smaller.

A mixer for sure and DNA tests are a scam with dogs...virtually worthless as I have had several done.
I prefer mixers as they are healthier and usually more docile among other things.
