About two feet just fell at Big Bear and the roads are jammed with skiers trying to get into the area.

Here is the Mt. Wilson camera, IF it is turned on and not socked in. Mt. Wilson is much drier.

I live about 13 miles SSW of this camera in a straight line, the weather was so sunny where I live that I was running the car's AC today.

I just wish this place had an economy to match the snow, but right now money is not raining from the sky in these parts.

I visited O'Reilley's in Arcadia today and more and more SN or GF-5 rated oil is showing itself.

Yep, got more snow here in Minnesota too.

Hey - it was 33 Below Zero last night!!!

My mens club has its first golf event of the year 7 weeks from tomorrow. I got snow in my front yard up to my waist. We got an inch-and-a-half so far today. If it warms up, it'll go fast, but we gotta be warmer than -3 at night for it to go.

That's cold. There is nowhere near here that gets anything like that. Big Bear Lake, CA though can see below zero.

Bridgeport will go to -20 at times, it's in the Eastern Sierra and will see zero tonight. If you ever want to see a good film made there, see Out of The Past (1947) with Robert Mitchum. The main drag is still much the same.

Ely, Nevada will routinely get way below zero on winter nights, but sees little snow and you often do not need tire chains even in such weather. It's a few hours up the road from Las Vegas.

This far south on the map, the town that gets walloping cold is Eagle Nest in New Mexico; I heard they got down to about -35 a few weeks ago.

We got a few inches tonight after getting 10 inches yesterday. It made for a nice mess on the roads and closed schools.

Bridgeport hit minus 5 degrees F last night.

Speaking of Bridgeport, if any of you are in that part of California ever, pay it a visit. It is a delightful town and the wooden, 1872 Mono County Courthouse is still in use.
