I would bet a cold beer that the dealer does not practice what he preaches when it is flipped around and you are trading a like vehicle and would call those "Fender Benders" true accidents to depreciate your trade in value.


When trading in, the fact that it's a car will depreciate it's value.

It doesn't catch everything that could have possibly happened to the car... but nothing other than a good inspection can. Of course, this doesn't make CarFax useless. It still finds a lot of stuff.

There is a diminished value of any vehicle in an accident that is recorded...so it is a big deal. Well, if you don't like throwing money away that is.
