No, not Molakule, but an actual pentacene molecule.

The delicate inner structure of a pentacene molecule has been imaged with an atomic force microscope

The experiment was also performed inside a high vacuum at the extremely cold temperature of -268C to avoid stray gas molecules or atomic vibrations from affecting the measurements.

That is very cool! (Literally and figuratively)

I wonder why the outer rings glow so much brighter than the inner rings.

If this atomic force microscope detects electromagnetic force, then perhaps the brighter areas are parts of the outside atoms that aren't "bound up" to the atoms beside it?

I should have paid more attention in chemistry class.

Finally, it's been discovered how much cleaning additive goes in each gallon of gas!!

Or how much truth a politician speaks in a year!

It's not a true photograph of a molecule. I've seen such images of molecules (or atoms) for 40 years, mostly taken with electron microscopes. What you see is only a representation of how the microscope interacts with the subject and the physics behind the making of this image, not a conventional photograph.
