I hosed down my engine today and noticed that under the oil cap, water had found it's way. I think a little bit could have fell through. Should I change it early? I'm sure engines always deal with moisture so maybe it will be ok. ??

take it for a nice long drive. If you do this regularly, and youre sure it was just a little bit, dont worry...

Or let the oil sit for a long while, drain the lowest quart, then top up (since the water will go to the bottom due to density differences).

That should not be a vented cap, so that moisture is likely normal condensate that will burn off during a longish drive- harder to achieve this burn off regularly in the winter due to the cold temps, esp. up there in NJ.

Sorry I didn't explain it well. I hosed off my engine and water was underneath the cap around the rim of the cap where it meets the engine. As I removed the oil cap, the water went everywhere. A small amount "could" have gone in. I drove it a lot today so I should be fine.
