My local Walmart had Summer Formula washer fluid on sale for $2.00 / gal. I grabbed up on a handful . Here in South Louisiana that Summer Formula is usually good year round unless we really catch a strong cold front .

Yup I did the same here in Louisville a few weeks ago....but they were only a buck....Got some rainx bug washer fluid for 2 bucks today....both are summer use only....
I made the mistake of getting that stuff once. I was not thinking and it was summer. It was in December that it froze solid between Austin and Battle Mountain, NV. It was still frozen when I got to Portland. You would think some heat coming off the engine would have thawed it out.
I need to go back and check for some further mark downs . It's been over a week .
I am not sure why they even bother selling the summer version in states where it will get cold enough to freeze.
Several years ago I had Walmart deliver me 30 gallons of the winter washer fluid for close to $1 per gal (free shipping). I used it to fill my tractor tires then topped off with regular water.
I use nextzett 92100815 Kristall Klar Washer Fluid 1: 200 Concentrate to make my own during warm weather. First off I don't need to store multiple jugs but only one, and refill it when empty; the fluid is made to mix with tap water. Second, it makes it about 50c-$1 a gal and cleans and smells well.
I do buy winter fluid thou as it's cheaper to buy vs to make.
