That's not the first (or second) recommendation I've seen recently for Lubeguard, so I think I'm going to get some for my PS pump whine!

It sounds like the problem is low PSF or no PSF rather than aftermarket PSF

@ypw, a lot of cars that specify ATF for the power steering don't have the red dye from the factory. I wouldn't be surprised if their OEM/FF fluid was just Dexron without the red dye.

Pentosin CHF is the exotic stuff the Germans use.

Supposedly Honda Power Steering Fluid is similar to the Pentosin.

We use the Sta-Lube CRC brand on honda PS fluid at work and have for years and it works very well and is red so you can folow condition of fluid e-z as well.

Where the aftermarket Honda Power Steering Fluids(Prestone, Bardahl) may(may) not perform as well as Honda Original is, in the very fridged temps.
