my dad was in ww2 and acquired a Walther ss-ppk gun,,am wanting to sell, what is it worth ? ,it's in good shape,I am concered about the local shops and getting taken advantage of,, hopefully this site is OK for this question.

Im no expert, but sounds like the kind of thing that small details could make a big difference. I would contact someone who really them, perhaps through an auction house or specialized forum or something.

👍. This is good advise.

Walther has a forum that could help at no cost.

Value is all in condition, originality, story, and buyer. It is worth what someone will pay for it. If you had some documentation, such as a picture of your dad, snatching that pistol from a Kraut, then that would be worth a small fortune....again to the right buyer.

I was involved with the early GWOT, if I had a Tabuk Sniper, with a picture of me after I got my hogs tooth, with a pic of the tango and his gun, the sky is the limit......it just so happens I have a Tabuk, but no pics, and therefore, market value is much lower.

Man I wish the rules were like the days of WW2 and Vietnam, I would have an arsenal.

I would seek out James Bond for his opinion as this was his EDC… J/K of course but I always liked that pistol. Some complain about the long trigger pull but the 007 factor is cool.
