Walmart Tire Order ?

The terms are VERY CLEAR......don't know how it's "bait and switch" if the terms are spelled out.

These retailers pricing policies are getting absolutely asinine. They will not price match their own website for customers in the store with the item and money in hand, yet they will allow the customer to place an order online for the same exact product at a much lower price. That then requires an employee to go in to the store, retrieve the item, and set them aside for when the customer arrives to pick them up. Really smart use of labor. The customer finds the item and does the labor...charge more. The employee retrieves the item and sets it aside and then potentially has to do curbside if the customer requests it...charge the customer less.
If I had to do this all over again, I would have gone to Walmart. Physically stood at the TLE desk and ordered the 4 tires on my phone at the lower price, and then said "OK, I just ordered and paid for the tires. I am now here to pick them up and have them installed."
Doubt you could had your order picked that quickly. You have a choice of shopping a myriad of other online tire retailers if you want to avoid Walmart. OR-paying more at your local brick and mortar tire store.
Which would have been fine and kind of pointed out to the them how silly their pricing policy is. Walk up to the counter and pay $127. Stand in front of them, and order the same exact in-stock item from their website for in-store pick-up and pay $94 [at that time].
We ultimately went to a local warehouse club chain and got name brand tires [not a club specific or house brand like the Goodyear TrailMark] installed for not much more than what we would have spent at Walmart. Buying tires online these days doesn't really offer very much in savings or convenience by the time you haul them to someone and then pay them to mount and balance them. The local warehouse club's price for the tires we ended up with was $10/tire lower than Tire Rack's price for the same tire. It all worked out.
I always comparision shop walmart tires, but they never are are a better value than discount tire.
