Walmart is melting rings down that have the confederate flag on them. Of course this just may make confederate rings become very expensive since Walmart is getting rid of them.

Lets see, what else will they melt down because someone is offended, oh, books of WW2, books of WW1, Vietnam books of battles, books of old southern jails, books of ancient Rome and the horrible pics of the Lions dens,,,,,,,,mercy....Its the new age of many being offended, lawsuits out the wazoo, and of course...........its all about the money..it usually is.

Well, you know, the only reason I don't shop at Walmart is because of the rings with Confederate flags on them. I really don't mind the obnoxious crowds, the garbage merchandise, the ridiculously high price on oil, and the Wall of Fram.

While I certainly don't approve of using the Confederate flag as a symbol of hate or intolerance, I think the current hysteria surrounding the flag to be a knee-jerk over-reaction.

Are they going to tell us we can no longer watch The Dukes of Hazzard on TV because the General Lee has that flag on the roof?

Or are they going to make the producers digitally remove the flag from all the episodes? I mean where does this stupidity end?

actually, TV land Pulled Dukes from their schedule all together.(same as they did with the Cosby show when the accusations started pouring in against Bill Cosby)

and Golfer Bubba Watson, who bought one of the cars used on the show(maybe it was the movie) is planning on having the stars & stripes painted over the stars & bars.

also, Warner Brothers, the studio that made & distributed the show, has stopped Production on all General Lee merchandise.

This was first class detective work. Last month almost no one knew where any stars and bars flags were. This month everyone knows. And people did not know they were outraged at the sight of one of those flags until they got their instructions from the media.

I wonder if they're going to ban the American flag, too. The University of California considered such an action because they said the flag upset illegal aliens that are getting a free education along with their welfare, free medical care and EBT cards for free food.

We'll have to check with the media and the politicians to see what's next. This is another reason we can be thankful that they are taking care of us.

Are the "Stars and Bars" not ultimately the colors of treason against the USA? I mean really, when you think about it? I think it should have become a "banned" symbol about 150 years ago, when the reasoning behind banning it would have made sense. Today, under the current circumstances, it makes a lot less sense.

Corporate entities are steadily trying to not offend anyone and usually succeed in mildly offending everyone, it seems.

NASCAR asked fans not to fly the confederate flags.

Soon NASCAR will kick those campers out that fly that flag. Soooooo much PC its sick.

Didn't they already cancel that show? That is what I heard.

It is all about what the current 'in' thing is. Right now it is 'in' to be against the Confederate flag. Now, I am not from the USA SE and I may not understand people's feelings of heritage concerning the Confederate flag and all of that. I am also not a black person so I don't know exactly how black people feel about the Confederate flag. Maybe most are offended. And I never really remember watching the Dukes of Hazzard all that much.

But I am getting tired of all of the nonsense where suddenly this becomes unacceptable or that becomes unacceptable.

And it is all very selective also. No one seems to care, for example, if the feelings of Christians might possibly be offended by disgusting, degrading so-called art exhibits at professional art exhibits and art museums, but we must remove every Confederate flag and shut down a TV show where there is a car with the Confederate flag painted on the top.

Soon enough there will be something new for everybody to be upset about. They already have 'safe rooms' at universities and colleges where people can be shielded from any exposure to something that might cause a 'micro hurt' or whatever they call it.
