Walmart Great Value Ice Cream=Blue Bunny?

This chart is irrevellavnt. It doesn't show how them different ice creams are simular. What's are you trying to shows?

Your claim was that since Blue Bunny makes Great Value ice cream, they are in fact the exact same thing. (Exact Statement " I doubt they change recipes from one owned brand to another." ) The posting I made has the ingredient lists for the basic vanilla ice cream from Blue Bunny and Great Value. They are not the exact same thing.

Like any food made from ingredients, there are multiple ways to make the "same thing" with different formulations and manufacturing.

Do a taste test of multiple brands of ice cream in the same flavor at the same time, and you'll figure it out...

I think cropduster was just admitting defeat in his own way with that entertainingly written post. :)

I tried Great Value chocolate ice cream in the '1/2 gallon' container** last month - as I have not been too happy with many premium chocolates - It was quite good with a decent dutched chocolate flavour on no lingering off aftertastes. Tried it again a couple weeks ago and it was a bit gummy. IDK what's going on. Maybe multiple suppliers. I guess I am headed in the direction of digitally imaging factory and date codes! That should get a few looks. Oh, I forgot it's Walmart ...

In the mean time I am back to dark chocolate-dipped vanilla Klondikes! Nice.
