Waffles anyone?

I think I have been to Waffle House once in my life.
They always look run down and dingy, even brand new ones.

I like Waffle House waffles and usually the other food is okay too although I prefer to go to a non franchise diner if possible. I've noticed quality varies greatly between franchises of the same restaurant based on the area in which it is located. I try to stay away from ones located in "socio-economically challenged" area for that reason.
Well, it could have been worse, the worker could have insisted that the carpet match the drapes

That's pretty gross, but I still like Waffle House pretty much anywhere.
Yuck..not to say we in canada dont have gross restaurant chains but you guys win for a few!! Waffle house, huddle house, roy rogers, ihop, long john silvers, ponderosa etc etc. ...maybe its just me...

When it comes any establishment (chain or otherwise) near or in
"the community" I steer clear.

The waffle house we just went to the kitchen was right in front of you.. thought all of them was the same? No complaints here need to go for lunch/dinner someday.
My 30 years working for " The phone company" I got to see many behind the kitchen doors.
The techs would always talk about nasty kitchens so the word spread fast on places not to dine.
On the up side we saw the clean ones, McDonalds were consistently
clean.

That's true that they cook the food right in front of you. If these two had been doing this in the back of a Mickey D's they probably never would have been caught and would still be doing it now.
