VW Jetta VR6 gear oil?

Does the VR6 gearbox use gear oil, ATF, or special VW fluid?

It's a 75w-90 synthetic gear lube ....

Since you live in CA, Redline is easy to find in speed shops ...try their "MT-90" product if it's time to change.

I run the Amsoil Series 2000 gear lube in my Vw/Audi transaxles and that's fine as well ....

Thanks! And you are right about how easy i can get Red Line products, a couple of parts stores carry Red Line.
