Car is a 2.5L with the Aisin 09G The transmission code is KGL ...I see no reference to MAN or PDW on the build sheet. I see that VW used 2 different fluids in this transmission type. Rock Auto has Aisin T-IV fluid and I am wondering if this is the correct type. Does anyone know?

Aisin/Toyota transmissions aren't picky. You can use Maxlife with no problem. Castrol makes a good synthetic ATF too. It's called Castrol Full Synthetic ATF.
It's possible VW still called for T-IV after Toyota stopped using it (they switched to WS). Maybe VW switched from T-IV to WS during the 2010 model year

Should take G 055 540 A2 a.k.a. T-WS.

max life or that castrol universal atf works great in those, if the fram stuff is cheaper use that if its synthetic.
They really aren't picky.
