Vredestein Quatrac 2s???

Got a quote for a set of Nokian WRs; however, the tire shop is also suggesting the Vredesteins for the same price. Both are all seasons (well the WRs are all weather), are directional and are rated 50K miles. Size, load and speed ratings are the same.

To me, this is a no brainer, but being the retentive person that I am, I need to know more more about Vredestein (I know, long shot) to pull the trigger. I've read a few European reviews of their sport and snow tires, but nothing on the A/S. Has anyone here had any experience with them?

I had Vredestein Snow+'s on my old `83 Volvo back in the 80s. At the time, they were cutting edge snow tires and were more widely available. Vredestein seems to have almost disappeared in the past decade. I don't even know what their most recent offerings are.

I usually take reviews w/ a grain of salt, but according to this site, they are pretty good (a score of 1 being best, 6 being worst). Too bad only page 1 can be accessed.

darn, I thought this was going to me more black and white between the WRs and the Quatracs.
