Virgin Mobil "System-S" Synthetic 5W40 Analysis

"Yes the Red Line 5W40 has me intrigued. Excellent analysis figures posted here recently, just about the best I've seen but Red Line say same makeup as 10W40? Could change from 5W to 10W make that much difference?? '

With the new polyol esters coming out and the next generation additives, it sure could!

This is an interesting 13.5 centistroke motor oil. Especially since Mobil is coming out with a new Truck n SUV 5w40 soon .

Any guesses to if this is very close to what the new oil will be ?

Maybe, but I don't think the cost of Moly has anything to do with it not being here. It's Not THAT expensive.

Yeah in huge quantity pricing the moly would be cheap when adding 80ppm or so to an oil .

The only Mobil oil that does not use moly is the plain Drive Clean . I'm guessing the truck n Suv oil will have an ample amount of it in the formulation .

I'm also guessing it will be group III / pao

Don't forget, Mobil's Delvac 1 also uses no moly in it's formulation.

Got to be the answer. The funny thing is though, on several Items I have bought ofer thephone/fax from there, they don't charge me as much as I can get it here. Hummmm.

Not even hugh, a bucket the smallest BULK I have found is a few hundred dollars... Now, to US, the everyday user, yes, it's hugh, almost if not a lifetime supply.
Buying it in Drums and Tankers, got to be much much cheaper.
