Virgin Mobil 1 0W40 initial TBN?

Does anyone know the TBN of virgin Mobil 1 0W40? If not, I'll just send a sample to Blackstone the next time I change my oil -- I don't mind spending $10 to satify my curiousity.

I called Exxon/mobil but they didn't want to tell me because they consider that proprietary info.

I think it's in the 11 or 12 range. Mobil 1 oils tend to have higher TBN.

A quick search of the VOA forum for Mobil 0w-40 turned up a SM version and a SL version VOA.

SM TBN (Blackstone 2-11-2005) 11.5
SL TBN (Oil Analyzers 1-13-2003) 10.02

Mobil 1 0w-40 SM
Mobil 1 0w-40 SL

I seem to get better results searching on the "Subject only" instead of the whole thread text.

TBN isnt as important as TBN retention... As far as I understand.

This oil does meet some very stringent specs in spite of it shearing.
