Had a older Viofo A129 that I swap between the RV/Escape but wanted to permanently mount a dashcam in the BMW. Got to say really like the Viofo dash cams. Granted I haven't used any others but didn't see a reason to switch. Got to turn the audio off LOL, the audio was default off on the old one. Need to get the rear cam put in, would of helped with the incident shortly after. Not posting that one. They have a sale going on shortly if your on the fence. The only downside is it ships from China.

I’m like the A129 Plus model as well and have it installed in two of my vehicles. I keep the audio on as I think it might come in handy in some situations. If I don’t need it, I can always edit it out.
That's true on the audio, came in handy with the incident later. The audio pickup is good enough you could hear someone yelling from a car lengths away and through the BMW sound deadening.

That's a terribly designed road. It goes from two lanes to one without any warning, and without any indication of whether you're supposed to merge to the left or to the right. There's also no sign warning of the ramp that abruptly dumps in from the right; they're lucky no one was coming up there at the same time. I couldn't see if they have a yield sign.

Never thought about it… Lots of these in KS. It’s a gamble which side ends. Usually it’s the left though.
