Vevor Tools - What Is Your Experience?

The problem, (at least for now), is if you buy anything Vevor and it breaks, you own it. This is especially true with their popular socket and ratchet sets. Their warranty process is worthless to the point of being non existent. At least until they start getting a network of retail stores.

This is where Harbor Freight has them beat 11 ways to Sunday. By any tool from Harbor Freight and break it, and a new one is just a 10 minute ride from the same store you bought it.

Wrenches, sockets, ratchets are easily warrantied without any hassle. In fact you could compare them to the now famous Craftsman unconditional warranty from the 60's and 70's.

Today Vevor has but a few retail stores here. Will that improve in the future? If the economy stays reasonably good it most likely will. But it's going to be a long time before they catch up to Harbor Freight in the overall amount of retail stores. If they ever do..... Which for Harbor Freight today sits at right around 1,600+ nationwide.

Vevor might have a couple good tools, but in my box they are a complete joke.

I'm actually kind of angry, seems like they pushed WEN out of the picture. Not sure.
WEN was a sleeper and had some surprisingly good stuff!

I'm ashamed to admit I almost pulled the trigger on a Vevor borescope but it magically went OOS in the 2 days I was looking at it. Instead I found an Autool I think I'll try and I can maintain my anti-Vevor stance.

In truth Vevor might have a few gems.....I mean if Dorman can have something that works 1 in 100 times, ANYONE can, right?!?!?

Ah man, and then YT feeds me this. Don't worry, the Vevor tool shows up right away even if you don't like Rainman (I'm not a fan but tolerate him sometimes)

@The Critic wishes he had this rather than that rando Mueller-Kueps junk :D

I've got two Vevor products that were a gamble, but the price was so low compared to an alterative, it was worth the risk.
- Pool cover. This is an inground, 20' x 40' cover with stairs that I thought would be junk after one year. Cost was 20% of a new pool store cover. Still looks brand new even after a tough winter. Well worth the $.
- Diesel heater. I used this this winter to heat my un-insulated garage. It wasn't balmy in there, but brought the interior from single digits to nearly above freezing. Which is all I could hope for. For $70, a pipe kit for the exhaust and a few quarts of diesel, it was well worth the effort. If I get another season out of it I feel ahead of the game.

My only experience with Vevor is I bought their $250 ATV dump trailer last year and it's actually pretty **** good quality for the price. The lower end Bosski trailers, which are very nice, are up to $1100 now.

We got a baseball practice net set from them during the covid, and and it is good still, heavy steel frame, good UV resistant net and fabric, hitting tee is better than most I see.

It even came with a dozen baseballs, which have identical stitching to the rawlings balls. Not quite the same cover material, but decent grip. They were so close that I had to measure them and they were within a tenth of millimetre and a couple tenths of a gram of the rawlings balls. Whatever is in them is a touch softer so they don't quite pop off the bat as far, but for hitting into the net and pitching, they work well.

Also their pop up sun and rain shelter is well made, I've seen a coupe at sports events.

I ordered a vevor under hood work light yesterday. One that spans the width of the hood and hooks over each side. I'm sick of struggling with my magnetic lights. Ill start a new thread on it if it's any good. It was around $64.

Bought it through Amazon, so if it's total junk, it will go right back.

Just got my Vevor extendable under hood rechargeable floodlight today. Model MX-5087. I am impressed with the finish and feel of it. It's got some heft to it and feels sturdy when you unfold/fold it. Nice padded adjustable hooks. It is bright @ 2300LM's. It has 3 levels of brightness with each press of the power button. USB rechargeable. I'll be putting it to work sometime soon when I swap out the vacuum pump in my 2021 Chevy Equinox LYX 1.5 as preventative maintenance.

I've bought quite a few Vevor things the past few years, chop saw, plasma cutter, bandsaw, socket sets, ultrasonic cleaners, tractor seats, all have been great. I've been buying their supposed offbrand succebuy (everything has been vevor branded) on aliexpress lately which gives an even deeper discount vs their own retail site.
