Just got back on Sunday from Dallas (again) and had a chance to try a number of restaurants while there. I'm familiar with the cute chain of "pappa" restaurants and have, with my coworkers, hit all of them a few times at this point. They are nice.
However
We hit the 27th floor restaurant at the one Hilton called "SER STEAK + SPIRITS" (the proper character for the E apparently doesn't present properly on here) on Thursday for a fine dining experience. The food was fantastic! We had a number of bottles of good wine and sampled a number of different items off the menu. I had the venison, but also tried the 45-day aged prime ribeye. My choice of appetizer was the Lobster bisque, which was also excellent.
I've become quite fond of Dallas, having been there four times already and predict being there a few more times before the job is done. Those of you who live there, you have a great city
Off-topic, but upon my awakening Sunday to depart, it had begun to storm. Flash flood warnings started appearing on my phone (a new experience for me) but luckily I did not experience any of them. My flight was only delayed an hour, which was also surprising given the adverse weather conditions. The flight back was a bit nerve wracking with some rather epic bouts of turbulence but we got to Pierson safe and sound and in good time.
