Well in my neck of the woods. I recently got a new iPhone 5s and it's REALLY nice. It's not huge like my S3, which is the size of a flip phone compared to the Note 3, but I love it. Fits in my pocket with no problem. And 4G is faster and I have more 4G service with it.

The step from Verizon 3g to 4g is huge, I just got a 4g phone this summer and I have been thoroughly pleased with the speeds. There is hardly a need to walk into the other room to look anything up quick.

The speeds are good, yes, but the pings are also quite low which makes it ideal for stuff like VoIP and video chat.

FaceTime is pretty nice. Not much lag and picture quality is pretty good! I'm surprised ping was that good.

Ping time isn't amazing compared to a standard dsl or cable line at home.. I tend to see an avg 10ms ping time. I guess there are no closer test servers than the one in Montreal? Whereabouts are you? If you had a server closer it might reflect higher speeds/better ping, so that speedtest might reflect a slower speed than your true speed acutally is.

VZW LTE is very nice. Although on my Note 2, if I have one bar of LTE coverage I might as well put the phone back in my pocket. Not sure if it's a network issue or a phone issue.

I'm about 10 miles from Massena/Cornwall island. Which is about an hour from Montreal.

76ms is actually on the high-side for LTE. I routinely see much lower. Compared to a 3G connection, it is noticeably lower latency.

ping time for my on Verizon LTE is generally 50ms or so--definitely a little slower than Comcast. I'm generally 30 Mbps down, 18-20 Mbps up. Upload is almost twice as fast as cable! When tethering LTE to my laptop, speeds are pretty much identical.

The network in the NW is also pretty robust; from Bellingham to Eugene and most places between, the speeds are really consistent.

LTE is fantastic

Here's mine from last year (on my S3) in Toronto:

I have a Galaxy S3 on AT&T and the LTE download speeds are amazing compared to my old 3G phone. Sometimes its even faster than our home connection.

I'm sitting in Boston South Station, on ATT LTE, full bars...

FaceTime works great, but I'm not really very happy with LTE compared to 3G.

Really. The marketing of lte refers to it similar to light speed.
Here in sask I've yet to see any 4g or lte capability on the network itself, even though the phones are capable.
My 3G iPhone seems pretty good however I guess I don't know any different.
I'm not upgrading til the iPhone 6 comes out. I've found that upgrading every time a new phone is released isn't cost effective. Not enough extra features to make it worthwhile for me.
Every second new product does have enough extra stuff for me to justify the money I have to spend.
And the longer I wait the less I pay because my contract allows a free product upgrade every 2 years.

The 5s is a major improvement over the already good 4s camera, primarily due to far less noise at high ISO settings. The 64bit thing is new too, fwiw. I'm glad we got the 5s, because our unlocked phones are worth a few hundred each after 2-3 years, and we're not wasting a $20-30 subsidy each month.

LTE has been noticeably faster in uploading photos. That is beneficial. But even in the cities, you're not always on LTE (now confirmed DC, Philly, NYC and Boston), and the network often reverts you to 4G (3G) service. I was more than satisfied with the 3G connectivity on my 4s. What I'm noticing now is that the latency is the same or worse for LTE vs the 3G connectivity, but the speed of data throughout when reverted back feels slower. For example, uploading photos, I used to get 150ish kb/s upload. Now when on LTE I'll get 6-700 kb/s, but when reverting back, now it's more like 16kb/s. The 3G performance is slower than it used to be, now that I'm on an LTE plan.

I used LTE on my gfs iPhone 5. Wow it was impressive. It sure makes me want a newer phone. My iPhone 4 with 3G is starting to seem kinda long in the tooth. Especially with iOS 7.

I have, but the results are pretty spotty and glitchy. Nonetheless, I refuse to have a cell phone.

I just picked up my new iPhone 5s and an Verizon air card for work.
We had to drop AT&T because of service issues in the territory. Verizon has expanded in the area and have better service coverage after updating towers in the territory.

Much faster service so far. I could not hardly get service at my house with AT&T and now I get the LTE with this phone. I will put it to the real test out in the middle of nowhere in the next few weeks.
