I need to retint my Honda fit, the tint I I had put (off ebay ) has faded out in a few years
I am doing it myself so pre cut would be preferred.

I have had great luck with Llumar products (I'd have to dig out the warranty papers to tell you which line it was) that my tint guy has installed on several vehicles. One vehicle has had the film since '08, no sign of discoloration or bubbling whatsoever.
The guy that I go to is an absolute ace installer, surely that makes a bit of difference with respect to lifting/bubbling and whatnot.

Down here in Texas there are a ton of good shops.

Check your tint laws and stay legal.

In NY, the law was 70 percent I think, which basically means no tint on any windows that has seating for passengers.

Down here we are 30 or 35 percent on the front windows, the rest can be as dark as you want.

I would NOT do it myself, it will not come out good unless you know what you are doing.

I had two cars done with entry level 3m brand film, and they are perfect.

The shop that does mine has a plotter cutter that cuts perfectly shaped pieces for the window that is unique to each car.

I did 35 percent all around in my car, and I wish I would have gone darker in the back of the car. It is not dark enough in the 100 degree heat.

The good branded tint, 3m, LLumar does not turn purple or bubble and you get a warranty if it does.

I love Llumar products. Most installers use the Suntek brand which is basically rebranded Llumar product but at a lower cost. It has the blackest black of all tint films

Get a tint installer and buy high quality tint. That ebay tint that probably cost $40 for the whole car was certainly extremely low quality. Good tints will cost that much per window.

Llumar/Suntek gotcha

I did the tint on my Fit, only the rear windows, my youngest does not like it sunny.
I did a 5% limo,
It was faded to nearly nothing.

The same happened to some sorta 3M tint I had put in Socal on my office corolla. it was done by a local tint shop in Colton, I think they had 3m out in display but put in elcheapo knock off.

I never tint the front side windows,
I might add a small 3 inch strip right at the top of the front side windows to block some of the late afternoon sun when driving on the interstate, my visor is inadequate....in blocking the side sun penetration.

I checked the amazon link, the tint is made by rtint. anybody has any experience with rtint?
thanks for the link.

I tinted a few west facing windows with GILA mirror tint many years back, the trick is to keep everything clean 1st and then just go crazy with the spray
