Anyone have any experience with this stuff? It was on sale at one of the local China-Marts for $11 for 5 quarts. It says synthetic blend on it.

good oil i've been stocking up on it as well, at the local Fleet Farm it can be had in gallon jugs for $9.96, i'm constantly picking up a gallon here and there :D

$5 a quart for a synthetic blend with an unknown amount of synthetic is a good price? That's expensive.

I'd stock up on it for that price.

You have a 1980 Citation? My brother had one and it was a great car. That car found many parties back in the day.

Let me know how it goes, I would like to give it a try in my 3.7 ram. It has a little piston slap on start up.

I recall that durablend 5/20 in my "piston slapping" 4.8 silverado totally disappeared during the one time I ran it. I traded the truck before i could reverify that fact, but the proof was in the pudding. Mobile one 5/30-slap ,gtx 5/30- slap, pennzoil yellow bottle 5/30-slap, pennzoil + lucas- lots of slap, durablend 5/20 _quiet and smooth.

Was it the vavoline or was it the viscosity change ?? I dont know, but I plan to try it on my dodge.

Correct and that is the retail price at some stores, but he is getting it for $2.20 a quart in the 5 qt jug, so it's a super deal.

It appears that way, but the heading says he was replying to sparkplug's post, not mine.

My B-I-L had one of those. Bought it used, with about 40,000 miles on it - he NEVER changed the oil. He'd add when it got a quart or so down, so, theoretically it got a 'change' every 25K or so. Once in a while, he'd change the filter.
When the body rusted away, it had over 225,000 miles on it. Never an engine problem.

Don't put words in my mouth. I never said anythang about $5. Good Day Sir!

My apologies for misinterpreting your answer. TP said it sold for $4-5 to which you replied immediately after him that that was a good price.

simulpost see the times

can anyone tell the differences in add packs w/ the DuraBlend and the MaxLife blend? i'm thinking maybe more AW in durablend and less seal conditioners?

Maybe more AW, but not in the form of zddp. If you really want more AW, go for Valvoline VR-1 Racing oil with 1300 zinc and 1400 ppm phos.
