The specs you guys are touting are all from Valvoline's marketing group. Again, check the UOA I posted above (there a touch of moly in the oil from the previous Havoline OCI)... but we see no reason why VR1 can't be used in a wet clutch system.
As a matter of fact, I know a guy using the VR1 in a Harley V-Rod with no problems at all.
When they say "don't use in a wet clutch" that's just rhetoric to steer you toward the higher priced motorcycle oil.
The alphabet soup really doesn't mean as much as most folks assume.
Where are the spec sheet differences that make VR1 different from the 4 stroke motorcycle oil?
