they changed the design starting with the 96 model year.

The 94-95 4.6 2v's are notorious for burning oil.

Someone please tell me when Ford changed Valve stem seals so that oil consumption isn't excessive after 70K miles +/-. I'm reasonably sure that they did, but don't know when. I like the product and wan't another, but without the oil problem.

I have conflicting info. one is that it was in 1996, the other was 1998; both might be wrong.
