I thought i would be a good honda owner and adjust my valves but on the hood it says no adjustment specs or whatever. But the top of the rocker through the filler cap has a flat head for a screw driver.....its an 05 civic. What to do?

Try google search or go to a civic forum. Be sure to type your car's model year.

Don't try to adjust your valve lash through the oil fill. It won't work.

If you do make it work, get a good insurance policy on your screwdriver set, then PM me with your address.

What? Of course the valve cover has to come off......i was just stating that you can see the screw and nut like to adjust.

Critical part is to make sure you measure with the engine STONE cold (if possible best ambient temp is 60-70F)! As long as the measurement is close DO NOT ADJUST if you don't have to you could make things worse. Good habit to have is to use your feeler gauge on each valve several times then go back and then DOUBLE check each BEFORE adjusting.
