The line up of Valvoline oils that we get here in Australia seems to be fairly different to what I see other members talking about here. This is the Australian product line. http://www.valvoline.com.au/products.php?main=1

As you can see the "Engine Armour" an "XLD" range are fairly prominent. I was just wondering if you guys in the US ever see these two products?

Yeah, Valvoline's product line up seems quite a bit different in various parts of the world. There is a lot of stuff which we do not get here in the US. For example, we don't get the Synpower 0w-40, or even the 5w-40 HST at retail level.

I haven't seen XLD either.

Yeah, notice how thick much of their stuff is here. The "XLD" range seems to be their conventional, it guess these are what's referred to as HDEO's. See that it's available in SL or SJ or SG varieties, what's the idea behind that I wonder. I also love the way it's available in any viscosity you like, as long as it's 20W50 or 20W60.

I also can't really figure out why they need two synthetic blends. They've got the "Engine Armour" range which they describe as a synthetic blend, and then the Durablend which they describe as a semi-synthetic.
