Val Kilmer, Film Star Who Played Batman and Jim Morrison, Dies at 65

He filmed a scene at an old farmhouse that sits a few hundred feet off the road about a mile from my daughter's house. It doesnt seem like it was that long ago, or maybe it was.....I dont remember the name of the film or if it was even ever released. I thought he was great in The Doors movie, and Top Secret. It was good to see him in the 2nd Top Gun movie. He was about the only character in that movie I liked.

His two best roles were Nick Rivers in Top Secret and Doc Holliday in Tombstone. I agree with those who say Val Kilmer's portrayal of Doc Holliday was the key to making the movie the success it was.

So, to remember Mr. Kilmer I will go skeet surfing this afternoon.

RIP.

I saw a video interview about 2 weeks ago with him before his surgery and loosing his voice.

Excellent actor for his era. Unfortunate to hear, seeing a lot of folks I grew to know through movies & entertainment leaving their "roles". Actually I've been getting a lot of article suggestions lately about Val Kilmer from my phone since my phone watches me.

"I know, let's have a spelling contest." Pretty sure I can quote the whole movie if I had to.

He's also awesome in Heat.

You where one hell of an inspiration to Gen X, Val. Gone but never forgotten. RIP.
