I was recently given a vacuum pump by a relative that was cleaning out a storage room. I don't really have a need for it so am thinking of selling it. Problem is I'm not sure what it's worth. Searching the net has come up empty.
It was made by Thermal Engineering. Not sure how old, but looks to have never been used.
It's a direct drive 2 stage pump. 6.2 CFM. 1/2 hp motor. The motor runs great and it pulls vacuum just like it should.
Any idea what might be a fair price to ask?

Thank You

I'd poke around www.ebay.com for the same or similar item and see if it sold and at what price.

On the left side of the peek-at-the-goodies-screen is an option to see completed auctions with the final results of the auctions.

I believe yah' gotta' be a registered user to see that option.

I appreciate the replies. I've searched around on Ebay and various other places. Seems that comparable pumps (similar specs) go for about $250 to $350.
I took it by a local HVAC shop for some opinions. The guys there said it is better than what they currently use. One of the guys said he had seen one used sold for $275. The other guy thought he remembers them selling new for about $375.
So....I've got the ballpark figure I was looking for.
Again.......thanks for the replies.
