You guys ever track a package and then all of a sudden it quits updating?

This is the last entry:

I only live 4 hours from Sacramento; it should've been here early this morning.

With USPS usually I'll get the package before it ever updates as being shipped. Even UPS tracking isn't good. If I have the choice from the vendor I'm ordering from, I always choose FedEx.

Last package I bought (a 60s garage comp album) came from near Russia someplace. Got it in about a week and a half. They provided me a tracking number, but it never showed that it left the seller's region :^P

I just had a package take 12 (twelve) days from California to Illinois. It got "lost" twice... it spent three days in Moreno Valley, CA and two days in Indianapolis.

Between unreliable service like this, and idiot employees (like my local horrible excuse for a postmaster, who raises the price of stamps whenever he feels like it)... the USPS is doomed.

I'm trying to see if I can make a booklet of 20 stamps last for over a year. I'm doing everything that I can to make that mailbox out by the curb as useless as possible.

USPS tracking is never up to date until the parcel has been delivered and used for about a week. LOL USPS tracking is just a waste of time and my tax funds.

How is it a waste of your tax funds when it doesn't get any funds from the government? It's just running huge deficits, but it's still in business.

I suppose at some point the government might bail them out, but that would be a waste of future tax funds, not a present waste of any tax funds.

Worse than that, I had a package once that spent 2 days to get to the Chicago area, and then spent 3 weeks going all over the Chicago area before it was delivered, hitting my local post office twice before it finally went out for delivery (third time's a charm?) -- and I saw every location update on a daily basis.

Usually my USPS stuff gets updated about 75% of way though the transit.

It'll still be 2 or 3 states over and magically show up the next day. How do they do it so quick??

It made it! It took over 24 hours for the truck to go from West Sacramento to Fresno.
The driver must've stopped for a nap and then went and got a Chinese massage.

Well at least there was a happy ending.

I don't disagree with the above statement.
However, this waste of manpower indicates to me "that is just the "tip of the iceberg"

So you had "USPS Tracking Anxiety" over nothing.

And I assume you know that it doesn't take 24 hours for the driver to go from point A to point B. The parcel is loaded on the trailer and the trailer is staged. At that time the tracking is updated. It may be several hours later before the driver actually hooks to the trailer and leaves.

I ordered a key for the Focus on Tuesday. It is going to be shipping USPS from Long Island. I still don't have tracking information even though it shipped out the other day.

You'll get it 3-5 days after delivery.
