I have a 1998 Toyota Camry V6. I have a very small oil leak and it seems to be coming from between the block and transmission. From a hole that looks like you use to pry them apart. Well its hard to really pinpoint. SO looking on-line, I found a couple of stop oil leak products you add to your oil. One from Lucas which is $100 almost and another few on the market. Is it worth it to risk paying that much for the product? Is it even a risk? Personal Exp? Really cant afford costly repair. Thanks alot for response.

I would take it to a reliable mechanic to diagnose the problem. Then come back here and post your diagnosis. Perhaps there is someone here that can help you.
All I know is that the majority of the Lucas products are "Snake Oil" fixes, only good to seperate you from your money.

You might be better off using something like a High Mileage oil like Valvoline Maxlife, or switching to a slightly heavier oil, like a 10w40.
I wouldnt waste time and money trying to fix a leaky seal with a can of additive. Better off living with it, trying a different oil, or just replacing the leaky seal.

Probably a rear main seal leak...
Not saying it is, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was. It isn't uncommon on the 1MZ-FE, if I recall correctly.
I think this problem happened to buster's brother's car. He decided to switch to M1 High Mileage and it solved the problem I think.

try a high mileage oil for a few OCI's and see what happens, whatever weight is spec'd for your car. Most High Mileage oils are said to be on the heavy side to begin with, so no need to go to a heavier weight in a High Mileage oil.

I'm not familiar with the products mentioned, but Auto-Rx hasn't failed me yet with leaks. I have not tried it with a rear main seal leak though.
First make sure your PCV system is perfect.
Excess crankcase pressure can cause leaks.

I ran ARX 10K miles ago to try to help with my RMS leak in the Legacy...no change. Waited 8K miles or so, and then tried a Stop Leak product (not Lucas) that "guaranteed" fix in one bottle....no change. Tried another after a short OCI. No change.
Then switched to Valvoline MaxLife 300 miles ago....no more leak hahaha...guess I learned my lesson.

I'm not one for additives either, but I used this engine no-leak stuff in my '92 Lumina and it either slowed or stopped the front crankshaft seal leak.

I used Bar's Leaks engine "rear main seal repair"with excellent results on my 88 F150. (it leaked up to a quart every week).
I changed the oil, re filled it with the stop leak and Valvoline conventional back in 2001. has not leaked or dripped since. Bar's leaks is the only stop leak additive i would ever trust.

I had great success with K&W Engine Oil Stop Leak (a CRC product). Worked in 700 miles.
