I cant stress enough how much useless posts are clogging up the forums, I am suggesting you think before you post.
For the sake of this board before you post think how important that post is.

No disrespect, but wrong forum = useless post. There was an opening for a moderator awhile back, but until then, you probably are a bit out of place.

There are no useless posts. Anyone who takes this forum as anything more than just discussion should not be here anymore. We are all here to talk about oil or anything to do with lubrication. If you want to start a topic, and it is related to this, why not? Even if it has been gone over time and time again. There is always someone that hasn't read it, or someone who can contribute to the discussion. I feel that this is actually the most useless topic on the forum. Please don't listen to the negativity. Also, I do not see MODERATOR next to anyones name in this topic yet. So, none of us have any say on what anyone posts......
So, as for anyone who steps over those bounds....

What kind of answer is that? If you're going to start a thread complaining about other people's so called useless posts, then I would expect for you to provide an example of one of your outstanding posts that have helped out another member and has benefited his/her life immensely.

I just can't figure out why the guy's breathing down my neck all of a sudden.

Here's a thread where I helped a guy choose a bolt sealant for the installation of his water pump - as one example.

Folks from all parts of the country, of all ages, with different levels of experience and education, and with different styles of communication come to this site for enlightenment. New folks come here everyday with the same curiosity and often the same questions. Some have never participated in a web discussion. What may not be important to some may be important to others. What may be repetitive to one may be new to another. And what may seem to be an "important" and well educated scientific discussion among scholars may be completely useless to those with lesser understanding. In my opinion everyone who is interested has a place here, should feel welcome, and be respected even if their posts seem unimportant. Every unimportant question is an opportunity to help someone. But steering folks in the right direction takes patience, which seems to be wearing thin with some around here. This is a place to share and learn, and to give and take what you can. So lighten up guys. Not everyone can be as smart as many think they are around here.

The only posts that I thought were useless were posted by a member thats not allowed to post anymore. His post were useless in an automobile sense but they were funny; they were the only ones I read to my wife. To bad he is not allowed to post in humor section only. This thread is in the wrong section it should be moved to off topic.
