well..i just used sea-foam for the 1st time ever in a guys car im working on and used it in the engine oil (as specified) to clean the engine a bit. the rest ill use in my old beater. ill let everyone know what i think about it when i drain the oil out of both.

Yeah, some F-body guys run it for 500 miles or so. Some people run it for more. The instructions in the bottle do not specify time or duration, just quantity.

I poured some in my lawnmower oil and it's been there for couple months now, but I wouldn't do that with any of my vehicles.
 
I doubt it would cook out. Once any additive is mixed with the oil, it doesn't seem to freely disappear.
I've been able to drive with various chemicals added to the oil. Even with several hundred miles of driving, the oil stayed overfilled by the amount added.
