Used fe3600 cut open

Not many miles on this one, 2500, but I wanted to inspect this filter because of the other thread that’s going on

I did pour some oil down the center tube and I did witness a tiny leak of oil coming out the bottom. I was pressing down on it to simulate pressure in the can.

This was a well constructed filter otherwise

Thanks for the c&p. Leaf spring looks pretty well formed compared to mine. Any chance for a flashlight test? This would be the first non 7317 tested.

Everything has been properly disposed of at this point, so no flashlight test.

Nice pics, but probably a waste over some internet sensation. If you sampled the oil for a particle count analysis would have wielded some weight to your worries.

I don’t disagree it was probably a waste. Honestly I was having “the itch” to change the oil anyways and I thought I’d cut the filter open
